Ministries We Love to Partner With

At Christ’s Center, we believe strongly in the power of networking. We believe God put us in this city not to start a hundred ministries of our own, but rather to work alongside people doing good things all around the Willamette Valley. Here are some of the groups we’ve worked with over the years, and who we continue to network with, both formally as a congregation, and informally as individuals. Click on a logo to read more.

Every Child

Every Child mobilizes community to uplift children & families impacted by foster care in Oregon. At Christ’s Center, we have many families who have become foster families, and many others who work hard to surround and support those families. Kristin Wall, one of our elders, is the director of Every Child Lane County. For more information, check out Every Child.

Love for Lane County

“Love for Lane County is committed to providing a holistic response to unmet needs through active faith. Our primary focus is to offer short-term practical, hands-on assistance for those who are in desperate need in our community and have nowhere else to turn. We provide “gap services” to meet the needs of our community, providing services and support that other agencies may be unable to offer.” (From the Love For Lane County Website.)

We love this ministry. For years we have partnered with them, both as a congregation, and through individual members of our congregation, who have given generously with both their time and their finances.

One Hope Network

One Hope is pastors, leaders, churches and ministries who join together to love God, love each other and demonstrate His love to our community in the greater Eugene/Springfield area. This happens through three objectives:

Together Seek the Lord through worship and prayer
Together Serve our community through partnerships
Together Share the Good News with our neighbors

Restoration Ministries

Restoration was founded by our very own elder Ed Glaspey almost 30 years ago. Restoration offers a 16 week video series that ministers to people’s past wounds. Here at Christ’s Center, we usually offer Restoration as one of our home group options in the fall and spring. For more information, check out Restoration’s website.

Eugene Mission

“The Eugene Mission is not a homeless shelter in the traditional sense. While we certainly provide our guests with food and shelter – and do so with an abundance of God’s love – the Eugene Mission’s ultimate goal is to provide holistic long-term solutions that lead to the long term wellness of our guests.

We first offer Hope by providing a path off the streets through our short term Rescue Shelter. Once stabilized, the real work begins – the work of transitioning our guests permanently out of homelessness and back to a healthy community through the transformational programming of Life Change or the R3 Academy.” (from Eugene Mission website.)

Safe Families

Safe Families for Children is a family preservation movement motivated by radical hospitality, disruptive generosity, and intentional compassion to keep children safe and families together. We bring church and community together mobilizing an army of volunteers to advocate for vulnerable children and socially isolated families. Our goal is to grow a national movement of change agents passionate about protecting children and preserving families in communities across the nation and the world. (For more, check out the Safe Families website.)

Fellowship of Christian Athletes

FCA seeks to make disciples through our strategy of engaging, equipping and empowering coaches and athletes to know and grow in Christ and lead others to do the same. Pastor Jeff Starr, our youth pastor, works as a track and cross country coach at Oklea Middle School, and works with FCA as well.

Father Heart of God Ministries

Our very own Doug Easterday has been traveling the globe for decades, bringing the message that God is a good Father. He travels and speaks for about 6 months out of the year in such places as Brazil, Norway, Canada, and all around the United States. For more information, and for other topics that Doug preaches on, check out his website.
